May has been a very busy month for us! We have had some pretty amazing weather and have been extremely busy with just about everything - school, plays, camping, Mother's Day and a visit from Ammamma and Tata. Here are some highlights!
For Mother's Day this year, we were lucky to have some beautiful sunny weather! Aside from going out to brunch and being spoiled by the kids and Erich, we spent the afternoon at one of the nearby parks. Such a beautiful day!
It feels like we have a birthday party or playdate just about every day! Here is a picture of Sonia's friend Liliana's birthday - she invited all the kids to Cupcake Royale to decorate and eat super fancy cupcakes!
Neal's preschool went on a field trip to see the play "Rapunzel" - and since he is a true expert on all things princesses, he loved it! And I loved that he got to wear his school sweatshirt and matched all his little friends. I think he looks so grown up here!
One morning, Neal and I were running errands while Sonia was at school and decided to pop into the play area Wiggle Works. It is always packed with kids but one particular morning it was empty so we had the whole place to ourselves.
We have had some beautiful sunsets this past month. One weekend, we set up the new tent in the backyard and had a bonafide campout. We cooked smores, watched a movie on the ipad in the tent and slept in sleeping bags in the tent (well, Erich and the kids did...) What fun!
Both Sonia and Neal go to gymnastics each week and they love it! Here is a picture of Sonia doing some impressive twisting on the low bar during her class. Neal's class is a parent-tot class, so I'm usually busy doing the activities with him so I never get to take pictures, but given his energy level and agility, I can say that he is a really good gymnast and tumbler! I'm not biased...
Erich and I attended the Bellevue Rotary annual auction earlier this month with our friends Heather and Tom. What a fun occasion to get dressed up and support a great cause.
Olive turned EIGHT this month! That is 56 in dog years! Here she is with her new friend, resting in her usual spot. Happy birthday Olive!
