To the Farm

This was our first real Summery weekend in Seattle, so we spent most of it outside. Today we headed to Remlinger Farms, a nearby Strawberry farm, and took advantage of all the fun activities they had there. Sonia got to ride a pony, ride on a train, rode in a canoe by herself (!), ran through hay, saw lots of animals and even got to drive an antique car (sort of).Once we came home, we continued to enjoy the summer evening by grilling. Memorial Day Camping

It seems like Memorial Day was ages ago, but it was definitely blog-worthy for us. Many months ago, we decided (and somehow I agreed) to go camping since there are so many beautiful parks and beaches within a few hours of Seattle. So despite being 8 months pregnant, the weather not reaching beyond 50 degrees and never having done this as a family, we put all our trust in Erich and headed up to Deception Pass in Whidbey Island. We had a great time!! Sonia loved sleeping in her own sleeping bag and we made hot dogs and ate s'mores. And in the morning, we made pancakes! So - our first family camping trip was a success!
