Spring is in the Air!

While it's true that Seattle had snow a few days in March, the sun is FINALLY shining and we are taking advantage of it by spending as much time outdoors as we can. We've joined the zoo and spent time at our neighborhood park several times now. Sonia now has THREE teeth (ouch!) and is crawling and standing any chance she can get. And the highlight of the month was a visit from newly engaged Aparna and Scott. We had so much fun!


In early March, we went to Los Angeles to get a little sunshine. It had been a while since Sonia had seen sun so it was nice to get some vitamin D. Sonia and I shopped while Erich had meetings and then all of us went to the beach to play in the sand. All this while teething!


Aparna and Scott came to visit for a fun, long weekend at the end of March. Even though Sonia had a bit of a stomach bug, she was in a super good mood and loved hanging out with her Dodamma (Aparna). We went to the zoo, went shopping and ate yummy food!

Fun in February

This month was a fun one for us - spring seems to be right around the corner, so we have gotten to spend more time outside. Sonia's Ammama and Tata visited from New Jersey, so she was extra spoiled with lots of fun. Sonia even became a big cousin to the newest member of the family - Peter Richard Kemmling. We can't wait to meet him!

It's amazing to see how much Sonia has changed in the last month. Aside from eating almost everything in sight, she is crawling all over the place and is able to stand up (with support of course), but pretty soon we know she'll be all over the place. She is still such a happy little baby who still loves to sleep 12 hours a night. Who could ask for anything more?! Check out these pictures for a glimpse into our February...

Dad and Sonia visited the Seattle Art Museum's Sculpture Park on a beautiful afternoon and took some "artistic" shots!



We are so lucky to live near Kerry Park, with one of the most spectacular views of Seattle. On one of our regular walks, we stopped to take a few family pictures. Even Olive got in on the fun.

Sonia is growing up so quickly! Just days after her six month birthday, she managed to scoot across the room to get to her favorite toys. Dad is getting worried that baby proofing the house may get moved up his to-do list!



And as a bonus, we got some more piano playing video. She's definitely getting the hang of it!
