Tonight we witnessed the most spectacular rainbow I've ever seen, right from our backyard. It was amazing!

Pumpkin Patch
Going to a pumpkin patch to pick out our Halloween pumpkins is an annual tradition in our house. This year was especially fun, since Neal is at an age where he can really get into all of the fun. We started the day with a trip to one of the many pumpkin patches near our house and selected our winners. Then we spent the afternoon carving, decorating the house and eating pumpkin pie. We definitely have Halloween spirit here!

Congratulations Papa - Hall of Famer
In early October, the entire AshPat crew went to Iowa to celebrate Mel's induction into the Luther College Hall of Fame. We had a blast! We braved the 40 degree weather and camped (in heated accomodations, phew!) The cousins had such a great time playing with each other, roasting hot dogs, making smores and just hanging out. So did the adults! Here are a few fun pictures from that terrific trip.
