Here's a "peanut friendly" version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" for our cousin Bradley...

Pear Blossom

Medford has an annual festival called the "Pear Blossom" which entails a fun-run and parade. This year, Nana organized an entry as the "City of Jacksonville", and we came down to help out with the parading. While we didn't have the best float (you'll only see a little bit of it at the end), there were a few shots of Sonia hanging out on the parade route. Check it out!

Happy Easter!

This past weekend was Easter and we were so lucky to have such beautiful weather. It felt like Spring and we spent the majority of it outdoors.

Festivities began with the Sugar Egg decorating tradition. I think I spent more time preparing and getting everything ready for them than we did actually decorating; it took about 20 minutes until the kitchen was a distaster area. Never the less - we produced three beautifully decorated eggs!

Saturday started off with an Easter Egg hunt at a nearby park on the lake. We put both kids in the same section, and Sonia - with help from her helpful brother - got the most eggs out of any kid. She was so fast! But she was also generous and shared her eggs with some of the smaller kids who didn't get as many :)

The Easter Bunny visited us on Sunday morning and left a trail of jellybeans leading the kids to to their baskets. Needless to say, the morning started off with a sugar rush. After a lovely church service, where Erich sang in the choir, we headed to brunch at Palisades. Margaret joined us - we were so happy to see her!

After brunch, and a very good nap, we explored our new neighborhood and stumbled on a beautiful beach literally 5 minutes from our house. It was a beautiful day and felt like summer!

Fun filled days!

Since Baby Milo left, Sonia has taken to carrying her baby doll around and naming her Milo (except her version is a girl!). Today, she coaxed Neal into playing along with her and they decided to take their babies to a meeting while letting them nap. Their meeting took place on some kitchen stools.  It was quite hilarious!

Now that Spring is finally in the air, here are a few sunny photos from our sun-filled days!

We love Baby Milo!

In March, we were so happy to have our new little cousin, Milo and Aparna, come and visit for an entire week! To celebrate the occasion, we were also lucky to have additional visitors - first Milo and Aparna from NYC, Ammama and Tata (from NJ) and Nana and Papa (from OR) - as well as my Dodamma and Mohan Uncle (from CA). And we were pleased to report that we could house everyone comfortably in our new house. To kick things off, Sonia got a private dance lesson:

Sonia and Neal got to bunk together so that Aparna and Milo could take over Sonia's room and they had so much fun with their little cousin. Neal also enjoyed taking a nap in the his sister's trundle bed and snuggling with her doll.

We also got to celebrate Tata's birthday - and to mark the occasion, Sonia and I made a very PINK princess cake!

During the week, we did an impromptu kitchen remodel, which resulted in more dining space for the breakfast table. Thanks to Erich and Papa for making it happen (and Neal too - by the looks of it!)

Carousel ride

The day we went to get haircuts, we rode the 25cent carousel across from the salon (a favorite for us since it is only 4 horses and so cheap!) This was the first time Neal rode without any support so I had to take a video. He did great - but I think he looks a bit scared!
