Neelgai

For those who don't know, Neal has picked up a few nicknames over his first several months. Deepa calls him "budgie," Sonia calls him "Nunu," but we all call him "Nealguy." Nealguy is a derivative of Neelgai, which is an animal in one of Sonia's ABC books (e.g. A is for Alligator....B is for Buffalo....N is for Neelgai). Apparently, neelgai's can be found throughout India, as well as in parts of Texas. Who knew?

Sunny in Seattle

We got some crisp winter days, so we thought we'd head out for a walk around Queen Anne. We stopped off at Kerry Park for a family photo. Neal's thinking about something important.

Parents Weekend

One weekend in January, we "grandparents weekend." It was so much fun! The kids loved being spoiled and we loved being able to go out to dinner and lunch - with no advance planning!

A Quick Valentine Update

February has been a crazy month around here, with Erich traveling, sick kids, and busy parents. We are definitely looking forward to Spring (the groundhog didn't see his shadow, right?).

Neal is getting ready to crawl! He has figured out how to move in reverse, but has yet to switch gears into "drive." He continues to eat voraciously, and loves pretty much every pureed veggie he has come across. He also continues to smile on demand; he doesn't seem to have a bad mood :)

Here's another shot of Nealguy playing "Sonia's" piano. He loves banging on the keys... (and if you look closely, you can see his teeth. He's up to 2 on the teeth front.)

We had some old friends move to Seattle recently (welcome Andy and Nancy!), and Sonia and her new friend Devin had a great time at the symphony. Here they are enjoying a Valentine's Day treat after the concert.
