Ammama & Tata's Visit (and a bonus visit from Nana & Papa too!)

This past week, my parents (Sonia's Ammama & Tata) came to visit for a week. It was great to have them here for several reasons, most of which was the time they got to spend with Sonia. For us, we were excited about being able to sleep in and go out to dinner! While they were here, we celebrated Tata's birthday. Nana and Papa even flew in for the night just to celebrate! We were so happy to have all grandparents together even though it was for a short time.

Sure, I know Erich posted this picture in the posting below, but it was so good, I had to include it again!

Family Shot: Note how the doll and stroller have become an integral part of our family...

During the week, Sonia stayed home from daycare and made trips to the park, the toy store (several times!), the zoo and other fun things. And somehow she accumulated lots of new toys...and even big girl bed sheets! All in all a great week, and now the house is so quiet!
A common scene from the week...

Trip to the zoo to see the famous flamingos. What a beautiful day!

Overdue Update and Baby News!

It is official...... we found out that Sonia is going to have a little brother! We have already started "coaching" Sonia on the change, and bought her a stroller for her doll. It looks like she is going to handle the transition just fine :)

Spring has officially arrived, and we are ready for it! We celebrated the coming of Spring with Sonia's Ammamma and Tata, who are finally back in the US after an extended trip to India. They are loving playing with Sonia and watching her learn new words everyday. After a trip with her grandparents to the zoo, Sonia ran around for a day saying "Mingo!" You know... those pink birds from Florida? Nana and Papa even made a surprise trip up to Seattle to enjoy a birthday dinner with Tata. Sonia had more attention than she knew what to do with!

Carol also came to visit. Carol and Sonia enjoyed some time watching the Oscars... not surprisingly, Deepa won our Oscar pool.

Hi Margaret! Thanks for reading our blog.
